Currently all of the UK is in the ‘Prevention Zone’  Some areas where wild birds infected by the virus have been found will be under ‘Protection Zones’ or ‘Surveillance Zones’

The Government Animal Health department has advised that the General Licence remains revoked (since December), not bird gatherings are permitted and all birds (including commercial flocks as well as domestic flocks, pet birds and racing pigeons must be housed) However, our racing pigeons can be allowed out for a short period each day (around an hour) for exercise.    Pigeons must not be allowed to fly freely in an out of open lofts and further restrictions may be imposed if we fail to adhere to this.
